How will Kid's Kung Fu benefit my child?
Drawing from disciplines such as traditional shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Yoga as well as juggling etc., the Young Dragon’s club at YMAA SA is designed to develop the following:
- Young and growing bodies need a specific combination of exercise in order for them to develop strength, flexibility, agility coordination and proprioception. These attributes developed in a nurturing environment will maximise the child’s physical potential.
- Developing minds need to be challenged and nurtured to grow in a positive direction. Focused effort combined with perseverance roughly translates the meaning of the words “Kung – time” and “Fu – energy”. Initiated from a place of fun it serves to improve self confidence, self esteem, and a sense of respect and discipline.
- Active and intelligent children need this positive outlet to channel their energy.
This Kid's Kung Fu class has been specifically designed to cater for children between 5 to 12 years old. The program requires less repetition and has more variety of training regimes to accommodate for the shorter concentration span of children of this age group. Your child will benefit from an environment that will allow him/her self to progress at his/her own individual rate in a controlled and disciplined atmosphere, teaching them to focus their mind on a particular task, improving concentration and gaining skills in a positive and inspiring art form.
